New literature on the EMD Plus series of energy management dryers from Van Air Systems, a division of Van Air, Inc., outlines how users can realize true energy savings while avoiding the dew point fluctuations common in other cycling dryer types. An explanation of the system's operation illustrates how the controller signals the compressor to stop when there is a drop in compressed air temperature due to low flow conditions. Even under such conditions, the system retains the ability to respond immediately to load increases without sacrificing dew point performance. A full range of models is listed, including digital dew point readout and an electric drain with panel-mounted controls.
