The NETS visitor survey is based on the responses of 1017 interviewees (65.4% Italians and 34.6% foreigners) who attended the 2006 edition of the show. A total of 98% of interviewees judged Tecnargilla 2006 positively, 17% of foreign visitors considered the last show “excellent,” 71% “good” and 9% “satisfactory,” while 8% of the Italians considered it “excellent,” 78% “good” and 11% “satisfactory.”
The key factors behind the success of Tecnargilla 2006 were the helpfulness of personnel, stand and product category layout, and the wide range of offerings. The survey also revealed the high level of professionalism and decision-making capacity of visitors, who included 17% owners, 29% executives and 45% technicians.
The special sections Kromatech (aesthetics in the ceramic sector) and Claytech (heavy clay technology) are both gaining in popularity. More than a third of visitors had already visited both sections when interviewed. Interest was only slightly lower in Kermat (advanced ceramics), which was held for the first time in 2006 and was judged positively by 96% of visitors questioned (66% returned an assessment of “good” or “excellent”).
The next Tecnargilla event will be held in Rimini, Italy, September 30 to October 4, 2008. Visit www.tecnargilla.it for additional details.
