MoreWashington Mills has started construction to expand its silicon carbide furnace plant in Hennepin, Ill. The new construction will add an additional 10,000 tons per year of silicon carbide crude manufacturing capacity, bringing the total to 70,000 tons. The expansion is expected to be completed in late 2010.
