The WBB Group has announced the formation of a new company, WBB Portugal, to handle sales of the Group’s clay products in Portugal.

Effective January 1, WBB terminated its long-standing agency agreement with C.J. Chambers SA. Tim Chambers, former managing director of C.J. Chambers, has become general manager of WBB Portugal.

The new company will be responsible for all WBB’s interests in Portugal, except the management of WBB Cerapasta, the Group’s prepared body operation based in Caldras de Rainha. Chambers has also been appointed as general manager of WBB Cerapasta. He succeeds Antonio Cardoso, who has relocated to Brazil to become general manager of WBB Ceramassa, the Group’s new joint venture based near Recife that produces prepared ceramic bodies for the Brazilian ceramic industry.
