Wilson® Instruments, an Instron company and the originator of the Rockwell® hardness tester, offers the 400 series of Knoop/Vickers testers. Providing an affordable, dependable microhardness testing solution, Wilson’s 400 series is ideal for Knoop and Vickers testing of metals, ceramics and other non-metallic materials.
To provide the user with greater flexibility, Wilson’s 400 series is available with manual or automatic turrets. Featuring eight dial-selectable test forces ranging from 10 to 1000 g, the system can be easily adjusted to the proper setting for the specific specimen being tested. An optional 2000 g test force system is also available.
The testers are equipped with crisp optics that have a total magnification of 100 x and 400 x so users can clearly and effortlessly measure the indention made during the test. For easy sample mounting and test point location, Wilson’s 400 series is equipped with a 100 x 100 mm precision XY stage with 25 mm movement in each direction.
