"Pictures on Pottery: Art on American Pottery & China" will be the theme of the Wisconsin Pottery Association's 16th annual Pottery Show and Sale on Saturday, August 27. Visitors will be able to peruse a variety of antique and collectible American pottery pieces dating from the late 19th century to the present. Several prominent studio potters, as well as over 50 dealers, from across the nation are expected to attend.
Pieces for sale will include pottery and dinnerware from styles such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Art Nouveau and more. Members of the Wisconsin Pottery Association will also be informally evaluating and identifying mystery pieces of pottery during the event.
The show will be held at the Alliant Energy Center’s Exhibition Hall in Madison, Wis., from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission will be $6.00 at the door. For more information, visit www.wisconsinpottery.org.
