World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea in Full Swing

The World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea, the largest cultural event in Korea in 2001, opened on August 9. This ceramic festival, in which 84 countries are participating, will last for 80 days until October 28. As many as 375,000 people visited the exposition over the first three days. After the opening ceremony, an award presentation ceremony of the 1st World Biennale of Ceramics, which attracted over 1000 entries from all over the world, was held in the afternoon. Award certificates and prize moneys were given to award-winners, including Lawson Oyekan of Nigeria, the Grand Prix winner.
