Wright Technologies, a contract manufacturer in the precision machining business, recently became registered to ISO 9001:2000 by Quality Assurance Systems, Inc. (certificate no. A1514US). For 10 years, Wright has been compliant to the military standard MIL-I-452089, and the firm was also previously compliant to ISO 9002:1994. The company undertook the ISO 9001:2000 initiative when business was slow and more time was available. It did so not only to achieve the higher levels of quality that customers demand, but also in order to be positioned for more business in an economic recovery. Wright is planning to move to a larger facility in the third or fourth quarter of 2002.
