The Triskelion(R) lumpbreaker from Wyssmont Co. is composed of a number of rotating triangular blades that intermesh with stationary blades. The triangular blades capture the input material, force it through the lumpbreaker, and roughly size the output into relatively uniform pieces of 3/4-in. or less by the spacing of the blades. The Triskelion is effective for breaking press cake, chunks, slabs and sheets of wet, dry, sticky, hard or soft materials. Units are available in capacities from a few pounds to several thousand pounds per hour. A number of special features can be provided, such as rod-fingers instead of blades, gas-tight construction, and sanitary and high-temperature construction.
