Zemex Industrial Minerals, Inc. will increase its prices on industrial minerals by an average of 5-10% for 2005. The specific amount of the increase will vary by product line and will take effect January 1, except for business currently under contract. According to the company, the necessity for the increases is the result of dramatic increases in the costs of energy, chemicals, replacement parts, packaging materials and benefits, as well as a modest increase in labor.
