ZIRCAR Ceramics, Inc. (ZCI) recently announced that it has acquired the majority of the assets of The Thermal Insulation Machining Co. (TIMCO), formerly of Phoenix, N.Y. With this acquisition, ZCI has expanded its custom machining capabilities to include three large CNC router tables, two panel saws, two wide belt sanders, three lathes, three drill presses, three radial arm saws and a host of other fabrication equipment. ZCI is now serving former TIMCO customers out of its Florida, N.Y., headquarters and manufacturing facilities. ZCI is a manufacturer of a wide range of high-performance fibrous ceramic thermal and electrical insulation materials. The company's products serve a variety of markets, including fiber optic fiber and cable production, solid oxide fuel cells, powder metal and electronic ceramics sintering, laboratory furnace manufacturing and others.
