Zygo Corp.’s Metrology Solutions Division has received orders worth $3.5 million for large aperture laser interferometer systems from leading Chinese optical research and manufacturing organizations. The large-aperture interferometers include systems capable of measuring up to 32-inch (800 mm) diameter parts and another capable of 18-inch (450 mm) diameter components, along with an upgrade of an existing Zygo 24 inch (600 mm) interferometer system. These instruments will be used for the development and manufacture of very large dimensioned optical components and systems, enabling precision surface shape and glass homogeneity measurements.
