In last week's CI CyberNews CyberPoll, we asked readers if they think credit rating agencies have too much power. Responses were as follows:

  • Yes: 90%
  • No: 10%

Comments included:

"The three major credit rating agencies are now being investigated for potential unethical and even worse actions that have harmed many consumers over the years. Credit reports influence everything from getting a job to buying a house, car, etc. There is also a lack of consistency of credit reporting information among the three major agencies. Reform is long over due and appears to be forthcoming, finally!!"

"Also like other agencies they have been derelict in their duty."
