Whatever your religious convictions, the upcoming weekend must be cause for celebration. My mother is quite religious, and Easter is her absolute favorite holiday. “If it weren’t for Easter, Christmas would be meaningless,” she says (every year). So in my family, Easter calls for almost as much excitement as Christmas.

I also know people who could care less about the resurrection but who look forward to the plethora of chocolate/peanut butter eggs and other delights. I can see where they’re coming from, too. Especially the week after, when all that chocolatey goodness goes on sale.
