MoreThe House has passed the revised bailout package with a vote of 263 to 171. While the true effects won’t be known for some time, the passage of the financial rescue plan will hopefully begin to put an end to the credit crunch.
The bill also includes the extension of renewable energy and R&D tax breaks, welcome additions amid the sea of pork that was lopped on to the bill in order to entice lawmakers. If nothing else, the drama and turmoil surrounding the bailout package over the last couple of weeks will die down and we can get back to the business of doing business.
