The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorated Products (SGCDpro) recently reported that two new bills focusing on chemicals-the Safe Chemical Act of 2010 (Senate) and the Toxic Chemicals Safety Act (House)-are in the works. These bills are said to be similar to Europe’s REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restrictions of Chemicals) legislation, which SGCDpro describes as “far-reaching, costly and burdensome.”
