• Neutral: 30.5%
• Somewhat optimistic: 30.4%
• Somewhat pessimistic: 30.4%
• Very optimistic: 4.4%
• Pessimistic: 4.3%

One reader who is “somewhat optimistic” indicated that their level of optimism is dependent on the results of the election. Another reader commented, “We have a president that doesn’t lead and a Congress that acts like kids in kindergarten. We certainly lack statesmanship. Term limits are really required to get these guys rotated out and not have them constantly worrying about how they will keep their jobs.”
