In last week’s CI CyberNews CyberPoll, we asked readers if they think the U.S. Congress will be able to get anything done in 2012. Responses were as follows:
- No, the president doesn’t have enough support in Congress in an election year for anything to pass: 50%
- Yes, members of Congress need to prove their own re-electability and get something done: 37.5%
- Other: 12.5%
“We can only hope... Unfortunately, whatever they enact may be the result of a tunnel vision view of what will get them reelected.”
“Too much hostility and strong ideological stances and not enough willingness to compromise will poison everything.”
