Last week’s CI CyberNews CyberPoll asked about renewable energy use in the workplace. What technology came in first place?

Last week’s CI CyberNews CyberPoll asked about renewable energy use in the workplace. According to respondents, 12.5% of their companies utilize fuel cell technology. Additional sources include hybrid company vehicles, 8.3%; biomass/biogas recycled energy, 8.3%; hydropower, 4.2%; and geothermal, 4.2%. According to the majority of respondents (62.5%), their companies do not utilize any form of renewable energy.

Respondents commented:

“Indirectly, we use wind and hydropower, as the company that supplies our electric utilizes a percentage of each, but we have no direct systems.”

“Our work space was designed to be passive solar.”

“Drill here, drill now!”

“None of these is currently cost-effective.”

This week’s CyberPoll will ask about readers’ use of social networking sites. Be sure to check it out!
