The CI CyberNews CyberPoll last week asked our readers if they are concerned about possible repercussions if the U.S. imposes sanctions against China over its currency controls. Of the total respondents, 57.1% are concerned, 28.6% are not concerned and 14.3% are unsure.
“Our control of our money is what matters, not placing the blame on other countries. All major countries are playing with their monetary supply. If any stood up & made an honest currency, it would rule, but the government would lose power in such a country, so it will not happen here. :(“
“While China's currency control may sound like good business to corporations who manufacture and purchase goods in China, the practice hurts American based industries and helps to increase unemployment in the U.S.” -- George Tsitsas, Co-Owner, Marrowstone Pottery, 292 Merry Road, Box 193, Nordland, WA 98358
“I am concerned about China calling in all of the notes it has on American property. We are fools to have so much debt and to other nations. My hope is companies will ‘re-shore’ production back in the US.”
“CHINA HAS THE UPPER HAND AT THE MOMENT. WAKE UP! CONGRESS.”
