In last week’s CI CyberNews CyberPoll, we asked readers if rising gasoline costs are affecting their businesses. The majority of respondents (71.4%) answered yes, while the remaining responses were split evenly between no and unsure (14.3% each).
One reader said, “Absolutely, higher gasoline prices translate to decreasing travel budget, increasing product costs to customers, and generally cutting back on all discretionary expenses. This is a MAJOR problem that will delay any economic recovery.”
Another reader disagrees: “The duration of these increases has been far too short to judge any realistic effects on business. Your question would be more appropriate in 3-6 months from now.”
