GPD India 2013 will concentrate on “Energy Efficiency, Solar and Glass Technology in Warm Climates”. “It is true that investment in the production of renewable energies is rising but in warmer regions such as India the necessity for insulating buildings has not received the attention it deserves,” stated Brown Onduso from the GPD Organizing Committee. “Efficient energy management is subject to temperature control through building insulation, if heating and/or air-conditioning costs are not to increase. The Conference will focus on precisely this topic since development in window and glass technology also allows for control of this kind in warmer climates.”
Over the past years, the GPD Conference has become established as a communication platform for the worldwide glass industry, including India. High-caliber international speakers as well as specialists from architecture, design, research and the glass trade will give the trade fair visitors a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and acquire new contacts.
GLASSPEX INDIA 2013 will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf India and with the support of such prominent associations as the All India Glass Manufacturers' Federation (AIGMF) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizer of glasstec, the world’s largest trade fair for the glass sector, held every two years in Düsseldorf, Germany.
