Dr. Henk Verweij has been named the Orton Chair of Ceramic Engineering in The Ohio State University's Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He previously headed the Inorganic Materials Science Group at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. His expertise is in the area of physical chemistry and processing of ceramic materials.
