Durex Industries manufactures a complete line of mineral-insulated cable heaters, which can be formed into a variety of shapes and sizes to fit customer requirements. These cable heaters deliver a reliable heat source at high temperatures in applications where standard heaters are impractical due to size or space restrictions. Durex cable heaters can be formed to cover cylindrical areas, which require a uniform heating pattern. The elements are specially designed to function at operating temperatures in excess of 1800F (973C) while maintaining excellent dielectric strength and insulation resistance properties. These custom-formed cable heaters feature a moisture-resistant transition to a flexible leadwire, which can be supplied with additional protective jackets such as stainless steel braid or armor.
