Glass 2001: The 62nd Conference on Glass Problems will be held October 16-17 at the Krannert Center on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The principal topics of this year's technical program are environmental issues of glass manufacturing, refractories, process modeling, and energy and processing. The Conference on Glass Problems is an annual event that attracts over 500 professionals from glass manufacturing industries and supplier companies. The conference is held in alternating years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and The Ohio State University. Every year, the conference offers a two-day program filled with presentations on state-of-the-art glass manufacturing technology, product quality control, and how regulatory market developments affect the day-to-day operations in this industrial sector.
