Advanced Engineering UK Gains Support from SAE
Advanced Engineering UK, an annual trade show and open conference for the high-performance engineering sectors, recently announced that the 2015 show will benefit from support from SAE International. Advanced Engineering UK will be held November 4-5 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England.
Advanced Engineering UK 2015 will reportedly integrate multiple show exhibit zones. The show spans key sectors such as aerospace, automotive, motorsport, marine and civil engineering. Over 750 exhibitors and more than 175 speakers will be in attendance, delivering sessions from six purpose-built auditoriums. Advanced Engineering UK features four “shows within a show:” Automotive Engineering Show, Aero Engineering Show, Composites Engineering Show, and Performance Metals Engineering.
SAE International will be hosting its own technology symposium in a separate location within the NEC, Birmingham. It will also run four expert speaker sessions as part of Advanced Engineering UK’s open conference program, located on the exhibition show floor.
SAE International’s Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Technologies Symposium will detail how to integrate design, manufacturing, and final assembly of AR/VR technologies into the digital thread of organizations. The symposium will also look at how to show an economic value proposition for using AR/VR within any advanced manufacturing enterprise and the future outlook of AR/VR for the mobility industry
“SAE International is thrilled to be so deeply involved with Advanced Engineering UK 2015, and particularly excited about running our Symposium this year,” said Andrew Smart, director of society and industry programs. “We will be welcoming some of the biggest names from across the engineering world to share their insight and unique views of the industry that we live in. I don’t think there is any doubt that the whole two days is going to be a fascinatingmix of innovation, technology and engineering.”
“It is so exciting to welcome SAE International’s involvement with the show,” said Katie Crocombe, event director. “They have particularly deep roots within aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle engineering, and continue to be one of the most important and influential industry bodies behind the development of engineering standards, training, and the dissemination of new innovations—reflecting extremely well the remit of Advanced Engineering UK.”
