GPI Launches Upgrade to Glass Digital Campaign
The Glass Packaging Institute(GPI) recently announced the launch of its first digital campaign, Upgrade to Glass. The campaign encourages consumers, specifically Millennials, to rethink what container they are buying their favorite beer, wine, spirits or food in. Not only does glass look great, but foods and beverages taste better in glass; glass keeps beverages cooler, and it is a sustainable packaging choice.
The Upgrade to Glass campaign features both a video series and a website. The video series features three characters and storylines about parting ways with those infamous red cups, beer cans, and boxes of wine for glass bottles. Each video focuses on those relatable and humorous moments from the characters’ millennial years that desperately call for an upgrade. UpgradetoGlass.com calls for millennials to ditch their plastic, canned, and boxed containers and upgrade to glass using content that reflects innovations and trends around food and beverages packaged in glass.
