Indian Ceramics Expands into Larger Facility
Indian Ceramics takes place concurrently with Ceramics Asia, reportedly making it Asia's largest trade fair for ceramics and brick.
The 13th annual edition of Indian Ceramics will take place March 7-9 in Gujarat, India. According to organizers, the event focuses on the entire spectrum of the ceramic and brick industries, showcasing a wide range of machinery, high-quality raw materials, analysis and laboratory equipment, technical ceramics, equipment for storage and materials handling, and more. Indian Ceramics takes place concurrently with Ceramics Asia, reportedly making it Asia’s largest trade fair for ceramics and brick. Powered by ceramitec, Indian Ceramics is organized by Messe München India, a subsidiary of Messe München GmbH.
Indian Ceramics 2017 reportedly attracted approximately 280 exhibitors covering 11,000 m2 and over 7,100 visitors. With steadily growing exhibitor and visitor figures, event organizers realized that the event had reached the capacity limits of its previous venue at the Gujarat University Exhibition Hall in Ahmedabad. A strategic decision for a new location was made in order to guarantee further expansion of the event. The 2018 show will take place at the Exhibition Centre, Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, which offers 15,000 m2 of space for the more than 300 exhibitors that are expected from India, Europe, China, and other countries.
“The event location is excellently suited to meet the needs of exhibitors and visitors even better,” said Igor Palka, exhibition manager of the ceramitec cluster at Messe München.
According to Ken Wong, general manager of Shenzhen Unifair Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., “The new venue will help the exhibitors and visitors to see the potential future growth of the exhibitions.”
Innovation Exchange Program
The 5th edition of Innovation Exchange will be held concurrently and co-located within the show venue during Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia. The platform is designed for show participants, industry think-tanks, consultants, and industry technicians to provide meaningful insights into current trends, new and emerging technologies, sustainability, and global best practices in the ceramic industry.
Speakers including exhibitors, sponsors, industry technical associations, and special invitees will have 30-min slots throughout the day on all show days to share their expertise. The program will allow attendees to hear a selection of oral contributions and engage in discussions with the presenters.
Also held concurrently with Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia, the Indian Brick and Roof Tile Expo (iBaRT) is a platform to showcase the latest machinery and technologies for modernizing the brick manufacturing process. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies, machinery and services; enhance their technical knowledge in order to efficiently and effectively increase production; and network with leading industry players.
Exhibitors will highlight technologies and solutions for automation, blending and mixing, extruding, firing, molding, production technologies, clay building, conveying, drying, dust extraction and filtering, feeding and batching, and more. In addition, the concurrent knowledge sharing programs, Brick Workshop and Innovation Exchange, will provide updates regarding the latest technologies available to increase production capacity.
