Silicon Carbide Products, Inc. (SCP) recently announced that it has released SCProbond™ WRC, a trowel-on wear compound. According to the company, SCProbond WRC is specifically designed as an easy-to-mix and apply wear liner with excellent adhesion qualities; it also resists sliding abrasion.
“This product brings a lower cost, trowel-on wear solution to our product lineup while incorporating silicon carbide grains for an added premium protection against sliding abrasion,” said Rick Cleveland, Marketing and Business Development executive. “These two-part epoxies are easy to mix, easy to spread, and provide a functionally cured bond in only 7 hours, getting our customers back up and running quickly.”
SCProbond WRC wear compound was reportedly designed for use in extreme industrial environments such as those found in mining, construction, petrochemical, power generation, and manufacturing operations. Some typical application areas include as a protective layer in pneumatic conveyance, pump housings, elbows, hoppers, cyclones, and dust collectors.
