Sacmi to Showcase Multiple Technologies for Ceramic Manufacturers at ceramitec 2018
On April 9, Sacmi will hold TEAM Day, an international technical symposium organized by TEAM by Sacmi.
Sacmi will exhibit a wide range of technologies for the production of powder metal items, refractories, technical ceramics, sanitaryware, tableware and tile at ceramitec 2018, which will be held April 10-13 in Munich, Germany. In addition, on April 9, Sacmi will hold TEAM Day, an international technical symposium organized by TEAM by Sacmi. Since 2007, TEAM by Sacmi has brought together all of the machine/process design and development skills of Laeis, Riedhammer, Sama, Alpha Ceramics, Gaiotto, and Sacmi Imola that are related to technical ceramics and other fields.
At ceramitec, in a large stand covering almost 700 m2 at the entrance to hall B6, the Sacmi Powder Metal Division will be displaying an upgraded version of its MPH200, a fully automatic hydraulic press that has reportedly been successful since its presentation at ceramitec 2015. According to Sacmi, the press offers high performance, low energy consumption and user-friendly PM press programming (API).
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the latest products Sacmi offers the market, such as the MPH800, the largest press in the range, and see the highlights of the innovations in the pipeline for 2018, starting with two new press models (MPH080 and MPH120) and a solution for helical gears. Great attention will be given to Industry 4.0 solutions, such as predictive maintenance, process optimization, tracking and measurement—all elements grouped under the umbrella of H.E.R.E., the Sacmi software suite that reportedly enables equipment, department, and complete plant monitoring and management.
Sacmi will also be displaying the new DHD 708-8, a digital decoration machine for tableware, complete with a plate inspection system to guarantee maximum print quality. Sacmi continues to develop solutions for decorating both fired and unfired plates, and samples of products made using different techniques will also be on display. In addition, Sacmi will present the latest opportunities for the manufacture, laying and handling of extruded products. In general, this segment is enjoying growing demand, both in Europe and emerging markets, for high-quality, complex products.
SAMA recently launched the SAMA f.i.t. Feasibility, Innovation and Training centre. Customers will be invited, during ceramitec, to the SAMA f.i.t. Open Day to illustrate the enhanced service and modernized tool shop. Many machines will be in operation, and the newly developed HCM 050 pressure casting line for the automatic casting of handles will be showcased.
LAEIS will present the HPF V 1000 high-performance press at ceramitec. Highlights of the HPF V series include a new control panel with optimized, user-friendly and intuitive operation, and an electronic and hydraulic system that reportedly guarantees higher press speed and reduced energy cost per ton of pressed material.
Finally, Riedhammer will present its know-how in high product quality, efficiency and energy-saving innovations at ceramitec 2018. According to the company, with its experience of more than 90 years and rapid adaptation to changing market requirements, it can offer advanced and reliable technical solutions for all thermal processes.
