NSG Group’s glass has been selected by Odakyu Electric Railway for its new Limited Express Romancecar (GSE series 70000) train, which started service on March 17, 2018. With its signature panoramic windows, Romancecar’s spectacular view is reportedly well-known among passengers.
Installed in the observation car is a NSG windshield glazed with what is reportedly the largest-ever glass in this type of train car (2,101 x 2,355 mm) with 3-D bending. Adding to the train’s spacious interior and aerodynamic style, the windows on both sides of the train car have also been made larger than the previous model with the distortion-free installment of large insulated glass units (IGUs) of up to 1,047 x 2,154 mm.
