Celebrating Suppliers in the Ceramic Industry
Our annual Supplier of the Year Award gives manufacturers in the ceramic industry the opportunity to celebrate their favorite supplier(s).
One aspect of my job that I really enjoy is having the opportunity to shine a spotlight on top performers. I love a good success story, and our annual Supplier of the Year Award provides many such tales. Each year, manufacturers are asked to nominate their favorite supplier(s) and rate them on a four-point scale (“below average,” “average,” “above average” and “excellent”) in 12 categories related to factors such as product quality and customer service, among others. Additional comments provided by the nominators are also taken into consideration to determine the winner.
Mike Bunge, director of Global Resources for Libbey Inc., nominated the 2018 Ceramic Industry Supplier of the Year. In his nomination, Bunge wrote, “ has helped us to remove multiple barriers in our supply chain through proprietary systems that provide far greater visibility into lead times, service levels, quality levels, and pricing.”
What company is he talking about, you ask? The article in this issue shares details regarding this year’s winner, the services that the company provides for Libbey and the relationship the two companies share. Please join me in offering congratulations on this wonderful achievement!
