Plibrico Awarded for Excellence in Workplace Safety by Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
The 100 Percent Award is reportedly given in recognition for achieving one year without an injury that results in a day or more away from work.
Plibrico Co., LLC’s Salem, Ohio, operation has been acknowledged by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) with the 100 Percent Award. The award is reportedly given in recognition for achieving one year without an injury that results in a day or more away from work. Plibrico was one of thirty-seven employers in the Salem area that earned recognition from the BWC. Awards were presented during the Salem Area Safety Council’s annual awards ceremony last month.
“Ensuring employee safety is one of our core values and a responsibility we take very seriously,” said Brad Taylor, Plibrico’s president and CEO. “Plibrico is extremely proud to receive this award from the Ohio BWC that affirms Plibrico’s unwavering commitment to providing a safe work environment.
“I believe this award reflects not just the quality of our safety program but the commitment each of our employees has to maintaining that program every day. We understand the connection it has to customer and partner satisfaction.”
Strong evidence shows that good worker health and safety boosts business performance. A study conducted by the National Safety Council confirms that safe working environments can create other benefits related to work quality, which may impact customer satisfaction. The results of the study demonstrate that customer satisfaction and a company’s safety environment, including injury rates, were “significantly correlated.”
