AMETEK Land to Demonstrate Furnace Optimization and NOx Reduction at glasstec 2018
According to the company, NIR-B Glass provides accurate profiling of glass furnaces and increases capacity by optimizing temperatures in glass melt tanks.
AMETEK Land will showcase its real-time, in-furnace thermal imaging near-infrared borescope (NIR-B) Glass with pneumatic auto-retract (PAR) system at glasstec 2018, which will be held October 23-26 at Düsseldorf Messe, Germany. According to the company, NIR-B Glass provides accurate profiling of glass furnaces and increases capacity by optimizing temperatures in glass melt tanks. Data from the NIR-B is used to improve response times, and then to identify and troubleshoot furnace operations to improve yield and to achieve higher pull and lower specific energy.
“We have made some significant innovations in the last 12 months and have delivered excellent furnace optimization and emissions reduction results for glass plants,” said Mark Bennett, Glass Sector lead. “We look forward to demonstrating these innovations at glasstec. “Having a full NIR-B Glass thermal imager with pneumatic auto-retract system on the stand will really bring to life what these latest innovations mean for glass producers.”
In addition, AMETEK Land’s specialist team will discuss how its thermal imaging NOx filter helps optimize combustion for emissions reduction.
