The vast majority of new products launched in beer, wine and spirits are packaged in glass containers. Clear Choice Award winners bring into focus the connections that brands make with consumers through eye-catching, sustainable and innovative glass packaging designs. The winning glass containers were selected by an independent panel of food and beverage packaging professionals, including Tom Bobak, founder and editor-in-chief of American Craft Beer; Anne Marie Mohan, senior editor of Packaging World; and Denise Purcell, head of content for the Specialty Food Association.
According to Mohan, this year’s winners demonstrate “the premium aesthetic and sustainability benefits that glass offers.” She was also impressed with the way that “brand owners had creatively integrated functional features and decorating techniques to add consumer convenience, tell their brand stories, and set their products apart on shelf.”
Bobak agreed, citing “contemporary glass options that both defined and brought brands to life in truly distinctive ways.”
