Crude Steel Production Sees a Nearly 6% Increase in November 2018
November 2018 world crude steel production increased by 5.8% compared to November 2018.
World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association was 148.6 Mt in November 2018, a 5.8% increase compared to November 2017. Specific production levels included:
- Brazil—2.8 Mt, down 6.1% compared to November 2017
- China—77.6 Mt, up 10.8%
- France—1.4 Mt, up 12.8%
- Italy—2.2 Mt, down 1.0%
- Japan—8.7 Mt, down 0.5%
- South Korea—5.9 Mt, up 1.1%
- Spain—1.3 Mt, down 0.7%
- Turkey—3.1 Mt, down 2.1%
- U.S.—7.4 Mt, up 11.8%
- Ukraine—1.7 Mt, down 11.2%
