Material Matters for the Ceramic Industry
This issue features one of our most popular articles every year, the "Raw & Manufactured Materials Overview," as well as our Materials Handbook reference and buyers' resource.
We kick off the New Year focusing on the building blocks of the ceramic and related industries—raw and manufactured materials. This issue features one of our most popular annual articles: the “Raw & Manufactured Materials Overview.” In this article, we share an overview of production statistics, opportunities, and challenges facing key materials used in and produced by our industry. Information is compiled from the U.S. Geological Survey, along with insights from market studies, technology reports and trend forecasts. In addition, the online article includes details on even more materials beyond what we were able to include in the print edition. Be sure to check it out!
This issue also includes our annual Materials Handbook, which provides product descriptions and application/use information, as well as supplier details, for hundreds of materials used in the ceramic and related industries. The Address Index provides contact information and brief overviews of key suppliers* to the industry, while materials and descriptions are listed alphabetically beginning. Plus, the fully searchable Materials Handbook is also available online (with additional details/functionality, in some cases) at www.ceramicindustry.com/materialshandbook.
While our staff made every effort to contact the entire community of suppliers to our industry, we may have inadvertently missed some. If you are a materials supplier and would like to be included, please contact AnnaMarie McCann at (610) 436-4220, ext. 8518, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing and additional details.
