Rathausky to Head RHI Magnesita Cement/Lime Business Unit; Oremovic and Fuchs Take on New Roles
Rathausky’s prior duties are being redistributed within the company, with Simone Oremovic and Lisa Fuchs taking on additional responsibilities.
After two years of development work for RHI Magnesita in the areas of communications, sustainability, public affairs and strategic marketing, Stefan Rathausky has been named to head the Cement/Lime global business unit. “I am very pleased about the opportunity to be able to further develop this business area, which is so fundamental for the group, globally,” Rathausky said. “We have a lot in mind.”
According to CEO Stefan Borgas, “Stefan Rathausky has not only brought our corporate communication to life, but in public with a sure hand through the demanding time of the merger. He now takes over a new elementary area of our group.”
Rathausky studied technical physics, industrial engineering and management in Vienna, Paris, and Lausanne. At RHI Magnesita, he was initially responsible for the transaction of RHI and Magnesita. “A merger of two such large companies is not exclusively a legal and economic issue,” he said. “The corporate culture and corporate communications also had to be restructured, and the brand had to be repositioned.”
Rathausky’s prior duties are being redistributed within the company. In addition to her responsibility for human resources, Executive Vice President Simone Oremovic is now also responsible for Corporate Communications and Sustainability. Lisa Fuchs, who has served as head of Media Relations since July 2018, is now on Oremovic’s team and will serve as the global first point of contact for media representatives.
