CoorsTek Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Facility Expansion in Benton
The expansion will total 50,000 sq ft and amount to $26 million in capital investments, as well as a workforce increase of approximately 15%.
CoorsTek recently joined with local and state officials to celebrate groundbreaking activities for a new facility expansion in Benton, Ark. The expansion will total 50,000 sq ft and amount to $26 million in capital investments, as well as a workforce increase of approximately 15%. The facility, which currently has 180,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and employs more than 200 people, has served U.S. and international customers in the aerospace and defense industries since 1979.
“CoorsTek is pleased to announce expansion of our Benton facility,” said Jonathan Coors, co-CEO. “This expansion will provide new jobs supporting the aerospace and defense industries, and supporting manufacturing in central Arkansas. In addition to a new 50,000-square-foot facility, CoorsTek will purchase several pieces of manufacturing equipment to support the growing demand for aerospace- and defense-related industries. The groundbreaking ceremony featured Jonathan Coors; Timothy Coors, co-CEO of CoorsTek; Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson; Benton Mayor Tom Farmer; County Judge Jeff Arey, Saline County; Shane Broadway, president of Saline County Economic Development Commission; Gary James, executive director of the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce; and other company representatives and business leaders.
