In last week's CI CyberNews CyberPoll, we asked readers if they thought Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer's companywide ban on working from home is a good idea. The majority of respondents (57.1%) answered no, while 28.6% believe it is a good idea. The remaining 14.3% of respondents are unsure.
One reader commented, "It seems odd that an information outfit would find it wrong to permit work from homw--Can't managers judge work product irrespective of where it is generated"
Other comments included:
"Since having my email 'hacked' in January fo the 3rd time, I believe that Yahoo has more issues that are critical. Maybe, cleaning their own house is a beginning to resolving these problems?"
"I agree you need some face time, but people also need quiet time to get their work done."
