According to a recent Bloomberg Business article, the economy has been in recovery mode for several years now, and companies have begun to put more money into research and development to avoid stagnation. Last week's CI CyberNews CyberPoll asked: Do you think your company company prioritizes innovation? Surprisingly, 100% of readers said yes.
One reader commented, "At my company, much R&D work has to be completed at production facilities, because corporate R&D lacks certain facilities. This means that R&D work is high priority, until performing it gets in the way of doing production work for a sale today. This is the way it should be at production plants. However, if a company wants to put the highest priority on innovation, R&D should have dedicated equipment for everything that is considered important R&D work."
