The new float glass line is the first in the U.S. for the NSG Group since 1980 and is expected to create 125-150 new jobs.
“The 500,000-sq-ft facility will be located in Troy Township, Ohio, near First Solar’s Lake Township, Ohio, site. The area is commonly known as the Eastwood Commerce Center South. Site selection is pending approval of state and local incentive packages. Construction will begin in the spring of 2019, and it is expected the plant will be operational in the second half of 2020.
“‘Our company has a rich tradition in the glass industry and strong roots in Ohio, and we are pleased to expand our U.S. glass manufacturing here,’ said Richard Altman, NSG’s regional director for Architectural Glass North America.”
