The next staging of GLASSPEX India, the 4th International Exhibition for Glass Production—Processing—Products, is scheduled for March 13-15 at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Center in Mumbai, India. The event will be organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India. Messe Düsseldorf also organizes glasstec, the international trade show for the glass industry, held every two years in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Demand for glass from the beverage, infrastructure and real estate sectors has provided a boost to this market in India. According to a TechSci Research report, the growth in the Indian glass industry is dominated by the container glass segment, which accounts for the majority of sales in terms of volume. The float glass segment leads sales in terms of value; in the coming years, sales of float glass are expected to increase according to real estate growth across retail, residential and office estate.

GLASSPEX India 2015 will reportedly present the entire value creation chain of the glass manufacturing process. Exhibit categories will include glass manufacturing and production technology, glass processing and finishing, glass products and applications (including solar technology), as well as tools and auxiliary equipment, measurement, testing and control technology. At the last staging of GLASSPEX India in 2013, more than 180 exhibitors from 22 countries presented their innovations to 3,347 trade visitors from India and abroad.
