Ross Systems and Controls now offers control panels designed for use in Class 1 Div 1 hazardous environments. These panels reportedly can be supplied with a fully automatic Type X purge system, which forces clean air through the enclosure until all hazardous gases are removed. The system then maintains a slight positive pressure within the panel.

Pictured are NEMA 4X operator stations featuring 15-in. color touchscreens with ethernet communications and emergency stop buttons with hermetically sealed contact block. The Type X purge system includes a 24-volt power supply. These UL-listed operator stations are designed for use with a remote PLC System to ensure full operational functionality of the equipment they control.
