Following Paul Eirich’s retirement as chairman of the ceramitec advisory board, the board unanimously voted Jürgen Blumm, Ph.D., managing director of NETZSCH Gerätebau GmbH, to take over as chairman. Blumm also manages the Ceramic Machinery Specialist department of the German Engineering Association VDMA.

“ceramitec is the industry’s major international trade show,” said Blumm. “The mapping of the entire value-added chain of the ceramic industry is unique. This is the decisive factor that makes ceramitec stand out from all competing events. I am proud to assume the office of chairman of the advisory board and have the opportunity to collaborate for the further development of our industry’s leading trade show.”

“As a representative of the interests of the exhibitors, industry representatives and partners, the advisory board plays a vital role for ceramitec,” said Gerhard Gerritzen, deputy managing director of Messe München. “I am delighted with Jürgen Blumm’s succession as chairman of the advisory board. We look forward to working with all new members of the board.”

ceramitec 2018 will take place on the exhibition grounds of Messe München, April 10-13.
