Custom Milling and Consulting, Inc. (CMC) is reportedly increasing its processing capabilities to better serve its customers. In early 2015, CMC added a new 36,000-sq-ft building to its facilities, and 12,000 sq ft of that space has been dedicated for increasing wet milling production. This new processing area, in addition to the already existing 23,500-sq-ft area, is being equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Work on the processing area reportedly includes a new dust collection system, electrical stations with enough capacity to operate up to 1,000 total hp of equipment, and 300 sq ft of refrigerated storage. An indoor tank farm will be outfitted with new tanks for large volume production, and an automated filling station and a 90-ton chiller for products that require precise temperature control will be installed to improve batch accuracy.

Several new horizontal media mills and process tanks up to 1,500 gal will reportedly allow CMC to manufacture dispersions for a wide range of industries. Several high-volume stations with CMC horizontal media mills will be fully powered and able to achieve sub-micron particle sizes. All the upgrades of the new equipment will reportedly allow processing capacity up to 5,000 lbs per hour and over 100,000 lbs per day, depending on the processing requirements. According to CMC, the  expansion will allow customers flexibility in their production, and is set to be completed and operational by the end of 2015.
