The board of Morgan Advanced Materials announced that Helen Bunch has been appointed a non-executive director of the board, effective February 24. Bunch is managing director of Wates Smartspace, a division of the Wates Group. The family-owned construction services company employs around 4,000 people, with a turnover of £1billion (approximately $1.4 billion) in 2014. Bunch became managing director of Wates Retail in January 2011. Under her leadership, Wates Retail merged with Wates Interiors in 2012 and was subsequently renamed Wates Smartspace in 2015 to reflect the diversity of the business. Following her appointment, Morgan’s board will comprise six non-executive directors and two executive directors.
