Welcome to our second annual CI Top 10 issue! Our exclusive ranking details the leading worldwide manufacturers of advanced ceramics, glasses and refractories. The CI Top 10 underscores just how robust and far-reaching our industry truly is. These companies all have a global presence; combined, they employ nearly half a million people across all of their enterprises, and produce almost $50 billion worth of advanced ceramics, glass and refractories products for industries ranging from automotive and electronics to defense and medical/dental.

To compile the CI Top 10, we evaluated survey information, along with additional details from company websites, annual reports, press releases and company contacts. This year, after we’d looked at all of the information, we decided we had to include a +1 to the listing! All information was reviewed and verified whenever possible. While our staff made every effort to seek out and find details regarding the top companies in the industry, some may have been omitted. We will work throughout the year to provide any changes or updates for the online version of the CI Top 10 and in next year’s CI Top 10 issue.
