Corning Inc. recently announced that it has been named a 2017 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year–Sustained Excellence recipient by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its continued commitment to energy efficiency.
Vitro Glass and the city of Wichita Falls were recognized for a $1.9 million project that diverts treated non-potable wastewater from the city’s Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant to seven glass-cooling towers operated by Vitro Glass.

The Wichita Falls, Texas, plant operated by Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has been cited as a national model for water reclamation in a case study published by the Water Environment & Reuse Foundation (WE&RF).

The new NETZSCH GABO EPLEXOR HT series dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA) is reportedly designed for the thermomechanical characterization of ceramics, ceramic composites, glass, and metals that often require higher forces than traditional DMA tests.
