The refractories industry continues to be negatively impacted by the problems and demands of its customers—the traditional manufacturing industries—as well as legal issues, cash flow and retirement/benefit payments.
Technology and engineering continue to play a major role in the advancement of refractories. As the sophistication levels continue to increase, aided by the incorporation of more input from other fields, the potential for continued advancement will be enhanced.
